Vocal arrangements
We offer up an exciting selection of vocal arrangements, showcasing our signature Danish style and sound.
All of Ørehænger’s arrangements come in different versions, making it easy for you to pick one that fits the level of your group perfectly, whether you like to sing a cappella or have a pianist or band backing you up.
When you purchase an arrangement, you get a so-called ‘Ørehænger license’ on it, which means you can print or share the music with everyone in your ensemble.
SOULFUL SCANDINAVIA
... is a series of seven original songs written and arranged by us, Malene Rigtrup and Morten Kjær, in some cases in collaboration with some of our favorite songwriter friends. This release contains both groovy pop tunes, quirky world music, and lush ballads. All seven songs have been arranged for three different constellations of singers:
Advanced a cappella (SSAATTBB)
Mixed choir + accompaniment (SATB)
Girls only + accompaniment (SSAA)
For your enjoyment and inspiration, we asked some of our favorite groups from Denmark and the US to each film their version of a song from the series. Vocal Line (DK), Postyr (DK), Maestra (DK), Naura (DK), Top Shelf Vocal (US), and LA singers (US) all contributed. We also recorded a song ourselves, mixed by the Grammy-winning a cappella wizard, Bill Hare! Watch the videos, preview the sheet music, and order a license for your group in our shop.
BACKWARDS IN REVERSE
... is a series of five original songs written and arranged by us, Malene Rigtrup and Morten Kjær. The arrangements have a melancholy tone and feature five voice parts. They are suitable for Mixed choir + accompaniment (SSATB).
Our friends from the Danish vocal ensemble Vox 11 recorded beautiful versions of all five songs. You can download the EP here on the page or find the music on your favorite streaming service.

THE BOY ON THE ISLAND
… was written by Danish songwriter Annette Bjergfeldt for her album “The Kissing Post”. We loved it so much that we asked her permission to arrange it for eight voice parts. The arrangement fits groups that enjoy singing Advanced a cappella (SSAATTBB).

THE WAY OF LOVE
… is an original song by Ørehænger. In 2014, we were invited to write a new, contemporary choir piece for a big church music festival in Tübingen, Germany. We decided to base the composition on one of the most famous passages from the Bible; the section on Faith, Hope, and Love from the Corinthians.
The song comes in two different versions:

“The Way Of Love” was performed live during the Tübinger Tage Festival by our good friends from Jazzchor Freiburg (DE) directed by the legendary Roger Treece (US).
